Coins in circulation nowadays has a face value of 1, 2, 5, and 20 cents, and 1 and 3 pesos.

The coins of 1, 2 and 5 cents that are legal tender are the ones minted as from 1915, when the first Law ordering the mintage of the national coins.

In 1962, the 20 cents coin in use nowadays started to be minted; in 1983,1 peso coins, and as from 1983, the 3 peso coins.
