The Centro Nacional de Superación Bancaria (CNSB) (National Banking Training Centre) ¨Raúl Cepero Bonilla¨is the entity responsible for the formation and development of human resources at Banco Central de Cuba and execution of postgraduate formative actions plus other professional ones, requiring human resources from the rest of the entities of the National Banking and Financial System.

Its annual syllabuses include Diploma courses in Central and Commercial Banking and Bank Supervision,


respectively; just the same, postgraduate courses are imparted in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Accounting, Financial Analysis, Finance, Informatics, English Language and other subjects related to the bank industry.

Within the formative actions, active teaching methods are employed, counting on modern means to develop the functions. The collective of professors is integrated by executives and specialists from the Banking and Financial System with a well known professional competence, university professors and other national and international specialists.

Commercial banks and all the other financial entities have the space to solve out the specific training needs of the personnel, by means of diverse courses and training methods or skill development.

CNSB annually graduates around two to three thousand participants in different courses and subjects. Tens of executives and specialists are taking courses abroad.

For performing its activities, it has counted on support and financing from the United Nations Development Programme (UNPD), the Centre for Latin American Monetary Studies (CEMLA), other international agencies (ASDI, NUFFIC, SIDA, among others), the European Union, non-governmental organizations and central and commercial banks from Latin America and Europe.
